Healthwise, natural sugars in fruits (fructose) are indeed thehealthiest type of sugars to consume because it has an important roleto play in the diet of cancer patients, anyone looking to prevent cancer or trying to stay healthy. Natural fruit sugars (fructose) provide essential nutrients that keep the body healthy and help prevent disease. 

Metabolism Matters A lot

All fruits contain sugar, but they also contain beneficial nutrients, fiber, and minerals, which make them a much nicer alternative to snacks and sugary drinks that contain refined sugars.

How the body metabolizes the sugar in fruit (fructose) differs from how it metabolizes the refined sugar added to processed foods and drinks. The human body breaks down refined sugar instantly, causing insulin and blood sugar levels to shoot up. A 2010 study found that drinking one to two drinks filled with refined sugars (sugary drinks), a day increases the risk of developing type-2 diabetes by 26%. People with diabetes can safely eat fruits. In many cases, sweet fruit can satisfy a craving, because fruit has far less sugar than most sweet snacks and sugary drinks, which can mean that a person consumes fewer calories and less sugar while also obtaining beneficial nutrients.
