Marburg virus outbreak in Rwanda
Six people have died from an outbreak of Marburg virus in Rwanda. With a fatality rate of up to 88%,, mostly healthcare workers have been affected. The Marburg virus is from the same family as Ebola, spreading to humans from fruit bats; it can also be transmitted through contact with bodily fluids.

An expert, Prof. Augustine Odili has highlighted that over 20.5 million people die annually from heart disease, with 75% of these deaths occurring in low- and middle-income countries. He emphasized the need for prioritizing heart health, as 80% of cardiovascular disease deaths can be prevented through lifestyle changes.

● Five Cholera Deaths In Ebonyi Community Again: Another five people have died in a cholera outbreak in Igudagu village, Ebonyi state. The total confirmed cases have now reached 80, with 18 deaths across three local government areas in the state.
