WHO Urges Global Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products
WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros has warned, during the 2025 World No Tobacco Day themed “Unmasking the Appeal,” that flavored  tobacco and nicotine products are a deliberate tactic by the tobacco industry to target youth. As a result, the World Health Organization (WHO) is calling for a global ban on flavored products such as e-cigarettes, pouches, cigarettes, and hookahs. The organization also advocates for plain packaging and stricter regulation of product design.
