FG inaugurates committee to work on Emergency and Rural Health care.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has set up the National Emergency Medical Treatment Committee (NEMTC) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Rural Emergency Service and Maternal Transport (RESMAT) scheme. This is a significant advancement for Nigeria's emergency medical services. The scheme aims to provide timely and efficient care to all citizens, particularly focusing on the most vulnerable population in the country.

Death from road traffic accidents high in Africa, says WHO Over the past decade, road traffic accident deaths in Africa have more than doubled, in contrast to the global trend of a 5% decrease. Africa has 3% of the world's vehicles and accounts for 15% of the global population.
