Nigerians Face Health Concerns Over Self-medication
Many Nigerians depend on self-medication for health due to the high cost of medical care and limited access to healthcare facilities. With healthcare services and drugs often unaffordable for low-income earners, self-medication rates in Nigeria range from 52.1% to 92.3% which is detrimental to health.

Benue bears 10% of Nigeria’s TB and HIV cases
An analysis under the Gender Equality Fund (GEF) project found that Benue State represents 10% of Nigeria's tuberculosis (TB) burden and has one of the highest HIV prevalence rates. Lawyers Alert and Media Health Organisation (MHR) stressed the urgent need to tackle gender disparities in addressing TB, HIV, and malaria in the state.

Another 38 Lassa Fever cases and deaths in Nigeria
Nigeria recorded 38 confirmed cases and nine deaths from Lassa fever across seven states between 10 and 16 February, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC). The cases were reported in 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs).
